Camptothecin Solubility:

●It is insoluble in water, soluble in chloroform, methanol, ethanol.

It can directly destroy structure of DNA and combine with DNA, make DNA easy to be attacked by endonuclease, while inhibiting DNA polymerase and affecting DNA replication. It is mainly sensitive to proliferating cells and is a cell cycle-specific drug, acting on S phase and slightly lethal to G1, G2 and M phase cells.  

It has inhibitory effect on many kinds of animal tumors, and has no cross resistance with commonly used antitumor drugs. When combined with monoamine glycyrrhizinate, it can reduce toxicity without reducing curative effect.
